Since 1976, Normanton Rodeo has been hosting an event on the Queen's Birthday Weekend in June. The event continues to grow each year, and celebrates its 50th Annual event in 2026. From humble beginnings, Normanton Rodeo now boasts 4 action packed days including Rodeo, Campdrafting, Gymkhana, Street Parade, QCWA Show and live entertainment.

In 2017, following years of collaboration, Normanton Rodeo Association also took over the Normanton Sprint Races Event, held in late August/September each year.
